For me, the beginning of a new year is all about thinking about trying new things and getting things done. If this is you, then Interwoven is a class you will want to know about. This popular online class is being offered once again (most likely the last time). This time, with more and enhanced content. Taught by talented artists Lisa Solomon and Katrina Rodabaugh, Interwoven is an 8 week course (March 31-May 23, 2014). Each lesson has a week of 5 posts, all held on a private website.
Any skill level is welcome! The techniques and crafts they cover are crochet, soft sculpture, embroidery, and quilting. Within each section the projects are innovative and really push the boundaries of how we think about these technique in really fun ways. (This page gives you a breakdown of each week's lessons.) The projects covered are things that don't take ages to to, they are fun and quick to complete once you learn the skills taught. During the classes, you are able to email the instructors and get their feedback, as well as connect with other students through the Interwoven facebook page. They are right over your shoulder for the hard parts! And if you're snowed in or stuck inside? No problem! It all takes place right in the comfort of your own home, at your own pace.
The class runs March 31-May 23, 2014 (and students will have continued access to the classes until June 30, 2014). Lisa and Katrina are offering wise craft readers a 10% discount on the class (simply click over here to sign up and register, use the code WISETEN at checkout to receive your discount.) This coupon is good through midnight (PST) Tuesday, January 28th, so don't delay!
